Mission

Women in Investing (WII), a Student Club at Harvard Business School, seeks to strengthen the network of current and former women at Harvard Business School who are pursuing investment management roles in private equity, growth equity, public equity, and venture capital. Through professional workshops, industry panels, and targeted mentoring, we aim to equip our members for successful and fulfilling careers in investing.

Hortense Badarani is the Co-President of Women In Investing, a student club of Harvard Business School, Co-Chair of the 2018 Women in Investing Summit, and a current 2nd year MBA student. Prior to HBS, Hortense worked in Private Equity at Bain Capital in London, primarily focused on investments in Industrials. Hortense graduated from the London School of Economics. Caitlin Riederer is the Co-Chair of the 2018 Women in Investing Summit and a current 1st-year MBA student. Prior to HBS, Caitlin worked in private equity at Charlesbank Capital Partners, focusing on the TMT, consumer and healthcare sectors. Sarah Beresford is Co-Director of Speakers for the 2018 Summit and a current 1st-year MBA student. Prior to HBS, Sarah worked in management consulting at Deloitte in New York City and Brussels, Belgium, with a focus in sales, marketing and pricing strategies and operational improvements. Wendy Ying is Co-Director of Speakers for the 2018 Summit and a current 1st-year MBA student. Prior to HBS, Wendy worked in private equity at Goldman Sachs in London. Wendy graduated from Cornell University. Contact: wying@mba2020.hbs.edu
Janelle is a first-year student at HBS. She has a keen interest in technology, which she cultivated though prior roles as a venture capitalist at B Capital Group and as a product manager at Salesforce, where she led mobile development for Salesforce Inbox. She also previously worked as a management consultant at McKinsey and Company. Janelle graduated from Stanford University with Academic Distinction and Departmental Honors, earning a B.A. in Human Biology and a minor in Economics.
Danielle is excited to help connect the global alumnae within the Women in Investing Community. Danielle graduated from Brown University and began her career as an investment banking analyst at Morgan Stanley in the Media & Communications group. Most recently, she was a private equity associate at Vector Capital where she focused on technology investments. Danielle is originally from the Boston area and is excited to be back in New England!
